The network of Group Nature Campsites is part of Foundation De Groene Koepel. The sites were created in 2013 to meet the increasing demand for group camping in nature.
De Groene Koepel
De Groene Koepel was created at the end of 2014 through a merger of the Foundation of Nature Campsites and the Foundation of Hiker Cabins. We are committed to the sustainable development of green leisure recreation, including the network of nature camping sites, hikers’ huts and group nature camping sites. Click here for our extensive mission and vision. The four core values of nature experience, sustainability, cultural history and corporate social responsibility (CSR) are represented within De Groene Koepel: the Natural camping grounds, the Group Nature camping grounds and the Hiker Cabins, including the sustainable cabin, the Trek-in. Recognition
We do not own the sites ourselves, but recognize sites that comply with the guidelines of the foundation as a Group Nature Camping Site. We visit the sites at least once every two years and check whether it complies with the Guidelines. In this way we guarantee quality. Only recognized Group Nature Campsites may place the light green-and-white sign “Group Nature Camp Site” and only these areas are mentioned in Het Groene Boekje and in the brochure.
Protected title
The Group Nature Camping site designation is a protected title. It may only be fed if a campsite has been recognized by us, because it complies with the Guidelines.
For the year 2021, we have recognized 15 Group Nature campsites, as well as 145 Nature campsites for individual camping. The owners / managers of the sites themselves determine the rates and house rules for their site and the period of opening. These are also published on the spot.
